Our “Why”…

In 2023, I said goodbye to my husband of nearly 29 years—the love of my life since I was 14 years old. We grew up together, built a life together, and were blessed to raise four amazing children together. He was a comedian by profession, but beyond that, he was the light within our home. His ability to bring happiness to those around him wasn’t something he turned on for an audience—it was simply who he was. Friends, family, and even strangers were naturally drawn to him and no one walked away unchanged. People left his presence lighter—smiling, laughing, and carrying a bit of him away with them.

When Ron left, the kids and I made a choice - to do everything in our power to keep him alive. Alive in our hearts, in our minds, in our daily lives, and in the hearts of everyone who loved him. We choose to honor and celebrate him in a way that keeps us moving forward - and keeps him moving with us.

I created this journal for anyone who has lost someone who meant everything to them. I wanted to build a space where light and love live on in words - where those who come after can truly know the person they never got to meet.

It is our deepest hope that this journal helps you honor your loved one as we honor him—through laughter, through love, and through the light they leave behind.

xoxo
